  • This study investigated how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) predict Complex PTSD symptoms in 69 residents of London hostels.

  • Findings indicate that high self-criticism and low self-compassion significantly mediate the relationship between childhood trauma and disturbances in self-organisation (DSO).

  • Recommendations include the integration of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and attachment theory within Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs).
